A local organization literally jumped at the chance to raise money during a recent fundraising event.
The Naperville Junior Woman’s Club hosted “Jumping for a Cause” at Airstatic Playland in Aurora to raise money for Dupage PADS and Safety Town.
Dozens of children bounced around in inflatable play structures. Fifty percent of admission costs went to the charities just by mentioning the club when paying.
Event coordinator Julie Garrison felt that something this could be done more often. “Its just an easy way to raise money if you have kids and you want to get out. It is very generous. Fifty percent is a high percentage and we were happy to partner with them,” Garrison added.
For the last forty-five years, the club has sponsored and assisted children. They also founded Safety Town, which is throughout the year to teach young kids safety lessons about fire, traffic, strangers, and drugs.
