Meson Sabika hosted an evening of fun to help build up the leaders of tomorrow.
The second annual JKB Foundation fundraiser was held at the tapas restaurant – giving attendees a chance to dine and donate!
Guests could take part in the silent auction – featuring wine baskets, jewelry, and a few celebrity signatures, or mingle and grab a bite to eat.
Proceeds from the event went to award members of the foundation to Monmouth College as well as sending some to JKB’s comprehensive leadership training program.
The foundation’s goal is to equip teens with leadership skills so that they can help their friends make good decisions.
“When you ask teenagers where they go for help the answer is other teenagers and then I couldn’t find a program that worked with teens to help their peers and that’s how we established the type of students we wanted to work with and 22 years later those kids have done incredible things at their schools and in the community,” said Colleen Malany, Founder and CEO of the JKB Foundation.
All the proceeds from diners at Meson Sabika on June 15 also went to the JKB Foundation.
