Jaycee Playground Reopens
A popular playground is back and it’s all brand new.
The Naperville Park District hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the official reopening of the Jaycee Playground at the Riverwalk.
“So we have new poured-in-place rubber surfacing, we also have synthetic protective surfacing. New swings and play equipment. New site furnishings like benches, trash receptacles. So it’s a brand new face-lift for this beautiful park,” said Director of Planning Eric Shutes.
The new playground has lots of slides, swings, and other play equipment that may make your head spin.
The $370,000 project took less than two months to finish. Residents were also able to vote online for which equipment they wanted most.
And the fun didn’t stop there. After the ceremony, residents made their way over to the park district’s Halloween Happening event.
