The release of the iPhone 5 had apple lovers lining the streets across the country, waiting hours to buy the newest gadget.
Apple stores opened at 8 a.m. and by mid-day the downtown Naperville location still had dozens waiting out the door.
The newest device has a larger screen and is said to be the thinnest, lightest and fastest iPhone to date.
“I really want the panoramic pictures. That’s like my big thing,” said Lauren Houbolt, Plainfield resident.
“Little bigger screen,” said Tony Miele, Glen Ellyn resident. “Eyes get bad so hopefully things get a little easier to read online.”
“It’s going to be a lot faster than my old one, so the processor I guess,” said Garrett Church, Darien resident. “The camera’s going to be nice too.”
Although no first day sales numbers have been released at this time, Apple did announce they sold two million iPhone 5’s online the first day the product was available.
