Benedictine University welcomed the Illinois Supreme Court in a historic visit.
The court convened at the school’s Daniel L. Goodwin Hall of Business on may 19th, marking its first time at an educational institution.
The visit came about due to a change of venue initiated by the court, in an effort to bring the judicial system to the people it serves.
Two cases were tried, one addressing the first amendment and constitutionality of parts of the sex offender registration act; the other delving into the statute of limitations on wrongful death cases.
Naperville News 17’s Kim Pirc reports.
