Husky Heroes

All paws were on deck at the Morton Arboretum as Siberian sled dogs showed off their sled pulling skills despite the warm temperature.

Fans of the four-legged friends, also known as the Husky Heroes, even had the opportunity to snap a picture with them and learn about their traits.

“I love dogs myself but I can’t have a dog myself but it’s a good way to get a doggie fix so it’s a good event to come to,” said Gail Kutcha.

“They are cute…they’re probably very important because people cannot really pull the sleds in the arctic that would be cold…and it would help them get around,” said visitors Mairi Branek and Joe Branek.

The organization Adopt-A-Husky also brought their furry friends for people to learn more about what it takes to adopt one.
