The Last Fling is always a town favorite, closing down Jackson Avenue to provide fun for the whole family. This year the Jaycees have a special attraction for their smallest guests.
“At Family Fun Land, which is held at Naper Settlement, is a free admission family fun land where we will have fun sized rides for fun sized kids,” said Naperville Jaycees Member, Shoshana Frank.
There are also plenty of rides and games for the young at heart. To make sure you catch it all, check out the mega ticket.
“That is a wrist band that provides all of the rides Labor Day weekend, so kids can get onto all of the miscellaneous carnival rides all weekend and enjoy,” said Chad Pedigo, Board of Directors, Member of the Naperville Jaycees.
New this year to the Fling, patrons can no longer purchase alcohol using cash; instead you’ll have to head to designated ticket booths, and purchase alcohol tickets.
“Those tickets are good all weekend, so lets say you buy tickets for Friday night’s concert, you can come back Saturday, Sunday or Monday and redeem them,” said Pedigo.
One thing that won’t change is the great time for a great price. Parking is always free for the last fling, as well as access to the park. Plus you can catch top-notch entertainment for a steal.
“Jerrod Neimann is coming to perform and its only ten dollars, that’s unheard-of. The Goo Goo Dolls will be here Saturday night and that is just $20, you can’t see the Goo Goo Dolls anywhere else for that price,” said Frank.
The Fling is a great way to enjoy Naperville while giving back, all proceeds goes to the Jaycees who then distribute them to local non profits.
“In the past decade we have donated over $2 million dollars to local charities and we hope to increase that number exponentially,” said Frank.
