Gates are open and the Naperville Jaycees are ready for the holiday weekend.
“This year we are so excited for the entertainment we have lined up, the family fun we have lined up, the carnival we have lined up and some of the business expo partners we have. There are so many different things going on in Naperville around Labor Day weekend that there is something for everyone that’s for sure,” said PR and Marketing Chair for the Last Fling this year, Danielle Tufano.
This year’s entertainment is top notch, while the Saturday, Sunday and Monday’s shows will charge admission, you can catch free entertainment on the main stage Friday night.
“We are going to start Friday night with free entertainment, it’ll be free for people to get on to Rotary Hill here for the entertainment. We figured people would be out doing some running around so we thought why not stop by free admission grab a couple of beers, a pepsi and watch some great tribute bands. So we have foreigners journey and one of these nights. Two great tribute bands and totally free to get into,” Tufano said.
Saturday night guests can enjoy music from Bo Deans and Sunday takes us back to the 90s featuring the Summerland tour with Sugar Ray, Everclear, Lit and Sponge while Monday is Jamey JohNson and adam wakefield from the voice
Parking and street closures are always a concern for the Fling, and this year is no different. However there are options to make getting to Jackson Avenue simple.
“Downtown Naperville in general is an easy place to get to, but we are going to have shuttles going from the train station and various areas around town. There are all kinds of places to park downtown and all of that information can be found at last fling.org,”
The Last Fling wraps up Monday, September 5th with the Rooster 5k, Fling Mile and Labor Day Parade which you can catch on NCTV17 and NCTV17.com
