Pancakes fresh off the griddle and hot sausages brought thousands of people out for the 57th Annual Naperville Evening Kiwanis Pancake Festival and Raffle.
Each year the club makes more than 10,000 pancakes and 9,000 sausages to feed the large crowds.
It’s the biggest fundraiser for the Kiwanis, who donate $35,000 to different organizations each year, and give out college scholarships.
“It’s become one of the great affairs of the community,” said Len Spencer, Pancake Festival Chairman.
There were more than pancakes and sausages to enjoy at the breakfast. Local school groups gave live performances and kids could play in an activity area.
The money raised from the event will go to several of the area’s not-for-profits.
