The Naperville Police Department recently honored officers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to keep the city safe.
At the annual Citizens Appreciate Public Safety award ceremony they recognized officers throughout the department for outstanding service.
Detectives Bob Lee and Rich Arsenault received a Chief’s Commendation for their efforts leading to the arrests in the armed robberies of a string of pizza places in the western suburbs.
Officers Bernard Keegan and James Sakelakos along with Community Service Officer Maura Finn received the department’s Life Saving Award for assisting a citizen at the train depot who suffered a heart attack.
The George Pradel Award for Service went to soon to be retired Officer Arzania Williams.
Detective Bob Lee was named 2012’s Officer of the Year.
