Naperville is remembering the 20 students and six adults that were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy declared Friday, December 21st as a “Day of Mourning” in his state and asked houses of worship and government buildings to ring their bells in honor of each life taken and Naperville joined the cause.
At 8:30 am “Big Joe,” the largest bell in the carillon, sounded 26 times as a symbolic act to remember the lives lost on December 14th.
