Homes for Heroes in Naperville

Naperville recently became a part of the Homes for Heroes program, a partnership between mortgage companies and real estate brokers that gives discounts to our city’s heroes when buying a home.

Firefighters, teachers, police officers, doctors and veterans in Naperville can team up with local First Centennial Mortgage and Inspire Realty Partners to get a break on lending fees, title closing fees, and even receive a 25% credit of the real estate agent’s commission.

“Our community is that much safer, it’s that much better because you’re in it, you’re doing your job, and so here’s a way of just saying thank you. No fees, no hidden costs, no membership, just thanks for what you do,” said Glen Marino, A Homes for Heroes Lender.

Homes for Heroes also introduced an app that can help align heroes with business affiliates who participate in the program.

The Homes for Heroes program began in Minnesota after the September 11th terrorist attacks.
