Leo McNamee is known for having one of the creepiest and most bizarre yards in town, but you won’t be able to find many of his decorations in a store. He’s been making his own since 1987.
“I try to go for things that are as weird as possible,” said McNamee. “Things that will make people stop and say ‘What was this guy thinking when he did that?’ or ‘What is that?’ Things that everyone can look at and get a different interpretation.”
A lot of McNamee’s inspiration comes from working in horror movie studios and Halloween shops. To him, the plastic decorations in stores aren’t scary enough. Some of his favorite creations are the Hot Alien Mama, the Spider-Manster, and his newest creation he’ll be debuting this Halloween, a monster made from a 15-foot crocodile taxidermy form.
