As you drive through the Windgate Subdivision, you’ll see a tribute in lights to honor the recent passing of a local resident.
Parkway trees were set aglow in purple as a remembrance to Emily Driscoll, the 22-year-old who was killed this November along with her dog, when crossing a Naperville street.
As Emily’s favorite color was purple, neighbors thought this would be a fitting tribute and show of support for her family.
Home Depot even got in on the action, sending more than 50 volunteers from the store to pitch in and string the 40,000 lights to brighten the street as she once did, with her spirit.
