Officials are pleased with the high marks schools are earning throughout District 203.
The state report card shows more than half of schools are passing state tests, while 203 met 92% of indicators the state assessed like participation, graduation and attendance.
Officials attribute the success to many factors, like the community, families and teachers.
Tim Wierenga, Assistant Superintendent for Assessment and Analytics, calls these results a celebration for our schools, emphasizing that the data is a way to help every student and school continue to grow.
“Our district is a constantly moving forward district and what’s exciting is to look at what needs to be improved, take steps to do it, and then move forward,” Wierenga enthused.
The district’s results come from a varitey of test scores including the Illinois Standard Achievement Test, and the ACT for high school juniors.
All of the data was presented to the board of education earlier this week.
