A former Naperville resident is making his mark on the world of design.
Brooks Atwood, who was raised in Naperville and is a graduate of Naperville Central High School, has made it as one of the final three on HGTV’s Design Star reality T.V. competition.
After being put up to attend the casting call by his students at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Atwood has brought his self -described “Cool Hand Luke meets Mc Jagger” style to the show.
The program features interior designers competing in challenges, being judged by industry professionals and being voted on by fans
Atwood is hoping the citizens of Naperville will vote for the “local boy”, and help him out the way Naperville has inspired and helped him through his career
“Its really made me who I am today, I mean I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Naperville, the people I met, the education and the amazing opportunities I was given here”
You can catch Brooks, and all his designs on HGTV’s Design Star, Sunday nights.
