Some young kids wanted to do their part to help animals.
Last fall first graders at Chesterbrook Academy saw a story right here on Naperville News 17 about the injured animals at Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn.
They decided they wanted to help and have been collecting supplies all year. Now that school is ending, the students brought their donations to the center.
“We showed our school the video and we told riddles about the animals,” said Mikaela.
“Lots of animals were being hurt each year and we can help them with bringing supplies,” said Charlie.
The students donated 73 items, including toys, food, and paper products.
