We’re used to seeing houses decorated with lights and music for Christmas, but this Naperville resident is decking the halls for Halloween.
The Thomas house has been a Halloween destination for many since they started decorating for the holiday about 17 years ago.
Preparation started in April this year neighbor, Steve Jandick began programming the lights and LED displays to coordinate with music that can be heard over speakers.
“Its fun to do because you see so many people do this for Christmas and not many do this for Halloween,” said Jandick.
Decorating started three weeks ago, and little by little the haunted yard came to life.
“Everyone comes out to help we have like six people handing out candy because we have so many people coming to the house,” said Homeowner Nick Thomas.
The family goes through about 400 bags of candy on Halloween night. The Conan Doyle cul de sac is closed off for all to walk around and see the frights.
This year the Thomas Halloween house is hoping to defend their top spot as a Haunted Illinois event.
