Half Price Books Drive

Through April 30, Half Price Books is accepting donations for their 18th annual ‘Half Pint Library Book Drive.’

“We’re looking for any sorts of kids books, so chapter books, story books, sports books, they can be fiction, non-fiction, spanish books, pretty much anything that you can imagine, someone under the age of 12 reading, all are accepted,” said Jacob Sikora, Assistant District Manager for Half Price Books.

You can drop off your gently used children’s books to any Half Price Books location or purchase a book in store for as low as two dollars.

And all of the books collected locally will be redistributed in the Chicagoland area.

“This year we’re going to have two events on May 7, at our new Downers Grove store and our store in Niles, and any teacher, librarian or non-profit group can come and receive up to a box or two of free children’s books for their organization,” said Sikora.

For every book donated, Half Price Books is also donating a book to match.

Our local store is located at the corner of Route 59 and 95th street.
