A little yellow sticker could now help save lives.
The Illinois Department of Transportation released its “Yellow Dot Program” and the DuPage County Health Department is encouraging motorists to participate.
Drivers place a yellow dot decal on the rear driver’s side window, which signifies there’s a corresponding yellow folder in the glove box, which contains vital information such as the driver’s name and contact info, photo, medical conditions, allergies, physician information, and current medications.
Having these details readily available in case of an accident helps first responders make better and faster decisions regarding emergency treatment.
For a medical card and sticker, call the DuPage County Health Department at (630) 682-7400.
