One Naperville family is getting the whole town to “go ballistic.”
When the Hastings family participated in their first obstacle course race they were hooked, but they weren’t a fan of having to travel to the events.
So, Go Ballistic was born. The 5K obstacle course race will be the first of its kind in Naperville. Runners will kick off the race at Frontier Park, taking part in challenges for all fitness levels and all ages.
“It has a big focus on families, and kids in particular racing together. Something that is unique is we have kids waves, we have teen waves so 13-19 year olds can race against themselves, we have family waves which I’ve never seen before. Then we have elite waves for the elite OCR athlete and we have cash prizes for them,” said Co-Founder of Go Ballistic, Sean Hastings.
The Go Ballistic obstacle course race takes place on August 2.
