The College of DuPage recently announced they would pursue de-annexation from the Village of Glen Ellyn.
At a recent COD board meeting two village trustees informed college board members they would subject them to a costly stop work order and fines if they did not return to the 2007 Intergovernmental Agreement about construction responsibilities on campus.
After a DuPage County Circuit Court judge ruling last week, the college sent village trustees a new agreement. But the village rejected it and COD will now consider their options of de-annexing.
The two parties have been back and forth since 2007.
