The author whose works inspired a local prank on April Fools Day was recently in town at Anderson’s.
Gabrielle Zevin, the writer of “The Storied Life of A.J. Fickry” stopped by the store to share her personal journey as a writer and how that all factored into her latest book.
Does Fickry sound familiar? You may remember when Anderson’s was jokingly under new ownership this April Fools Day.
“I loved the joke, its almost surreal to have your fictional store, become an actual store especially one like Anderson’s,” said Zevin.
Zevin’s character, A.J. Fickry is the curmudgeon owner of the Island Book Company whose life changes after he finds a baby in his store.
The author signed autographs, answered questions from the crowd, and met with fans of her books.
Gabrielle also sat down with Becky Anderson for an all new Authors Revealed.
