Despite the cold temperature, many people were out today enjoying the conditions. Several people hit up the Centennial Park Ice Rink, even playing some pick-up hockey games. There were even more people out on Rotary Hill.
“It’s really snowy outside. There was a lot of snow so I realized me and my friend should go down the sledding hill,” said Eryk, a Naperville resident.
Yesterday, more than six inches of snow covered Naperville and created hazardous driving conditions. But today the streets are clear and it’s time to play. For those spending the day sledding, each had their favorite part.
“Just going on the hill and crashing into people,” was the favorite part for Jack, a Naperville resident.
“I think it’s really fun to go really fast,” said Bridget, an Aurora resident.
There were several crashes out on the hill due to the large crowds, but were today’s conditions ideal for speedsters?
“It’s really fast if you just get a running start,” said Michael, a Naperville resident.
“Not too icy, but it’s not too powdery, this is like the perfect mix,” said Riley, a Naperville resident.
For many, today was the perfect day to enjoy the fun activities winter weather brings.
