If the thought of filing your tax returns is giving you a headache two local businesses can help.
Loaves & Fishes volunteers will complete both State and Federal tax returns online for clients.
“This year we are opening for an additional four hours,” said Tom Wcisel, Vita Tax Coordinator for Loaves & Fishes. “We are gonna be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and I’m expecting, or I hope that we can prepare somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 – 350 returns.”
To qualify you must be a current resident of Naperville or DuPage County. Walk-ins are accepted but appointments are encouraged.
For anyone age 60 and over, the Naperville Park District has volunteer tax preparers in the AARP Tax-Aide Program that will provide free tax filing assistance.
“When they leave here they don’t have to do anything,” said Maurice Core, Local Volunteer Coordinator for The Naperville Park District. “Their taxes are taken care of; we send them home with a copy of the return and they sit back and wait until next year.”
This program is available by appointment only at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center on Mondays and Wednesdays now through April 11.
