Mary Ann Bobosky was awarded the 4th Annual Fair Lady Award in recognition of her numerous contributions to children and families. The honor was given during a banquet by Fair Lady Productions, Inc., at Center Stage Theater.
“So many times people say to me, ‘are you crazy? Why do you keep going?’ and I say ‘I’m going to keep going as long as I feel great and can contribute, and I often think about you’re going to be dead a long time, so you just keep going and you do whatever you can do now, as long as you can live,’” said Bobosky.
The Naperville businesswoman helped launch KidsMatter, a not-for-profit youth organization, focused on empowering kids and opening up their world to endless possibilities. As a District 203 administrator and teacher, she had a direct impact on the lives of countless children, and continues to do so through the numerous organizations of which she is a part.
Kandiss Hernandez created the Fair Lady Award in honor of her grandmother, to acknowledge a female leader in the community who’s making a difference.
