From crazy cat eye frames to classic aviators, there is a sunglass style for everyone, but these frames do more than look fabulous.
“Honestly its the bigger the better, except we don’t want you looking like a bug obviously. Sunglasses should go from the top of the eyebrow down to your cheekbone with a little bit of a curve for that side protection,” said Doctor of Optometry at Couture Vision, Adam Black.
Protecting your peepers isn’t just about maximum coverage. Doctor Black also recommends finding frames that offer UVA, UVB, and UVC protection.
“UV is on a spectrum of intensity, A, B and C are different levels of that spectrum. A and B are fairly easy to find, C is tough to find. Its the one that’s right on the edge of that blue light, there are recent studies emerging suggesting protection is needed there as well. So its great to have all coverage if you can find it,” said Dr. Black.
Once you find that perfect pair, it’s time to enjoy the summer sun.
