Members of over 50 local non-profit agencies came out to Meson Sabika for the Exchange Club’s Allocation Committee Luncheon.
The event was a chance to honor community organizations that received funding raised by the Exchange Club’s biggest fundraising event. Ribfest.
This year they’re giving out more than $500,000 in total.
The agencies receiving funding help promote the Exchange Club’s mission: preventing child abuse and domestic violence.
Groups included 360 Youth Services, CASA of DuPage, Edward Hospital Care Center, Families Helping Families, Kids Matter, and Little Friends. Those groups will receive money to go towards their supportive services.
“Please know that that hard sweat everybody has at Ribfest, when we have a tragedy in the community, we’re there to help you with that, and your efforts help us do that,” said 360 Youth Service’s Executive Director, Ron Hume.
The 26th Annual Ribfest will take place this July 3rd through the 7th.
