At the recent District 203 school board meeting, officials voted to approve the 2014 tax levy.
The levy is estimated to result in a 1.5% increase in school district property taxes, which means the average homeowner with a $375,000 house will be paying $102 more a year.
Taxes collected from the district will total more than $225 million dollars, which makes up about 84% of the district’s revenue.
District 203 has until March 31 to change any details on the preparation of the tax levy.
