Apps, technology and innovative thinking were all at the center of this years 203Con.
For the second year, District 203 educators gathered at Naperville Central to learn new skills.
Teachers chose from over 50 workshops to attend throughout the day, each providing a new way to integrate technology into their classrooms.
“Through digital content, through innovative lesson designs and through technology and tools we feel that we’re able to create a more personalized learning environment for students and then meet each students individual needs,” said Jennifer Hester, Chief Academic Officer for the District.
Community Manager for Discovery Education Canada, Dean Shareski, gave a keynote address that emphasized how much the Internet can increase collaboration and creativity in all grade levels.
Presentations were also made by district teachers who shared some of their best tech tips and tricks.
At the most recent Board of Education meeting, new policies were introduced that will help ensure students use the new technologies safely and appropriately.
