The DuPage Children’s Museum’s new traveling exhibit will give visitors a lesson from across the globe.
Chosen from children’s museums across the country, our very own DuPage Children’s Museum is hosting the new exhibit: Children of Hangzhou.
It features four children from China and their typical daily experiences: going to school, working in the fields, practicing in the theatre and spending time with family at home.
“We want children to explore those and just start to learn about the different cultures that are out there hopefully to inspire them to continue learning as they continue to grow,” said Katie Edinger, Senior Public Programs Manager at DuPage Children’s Museum.
The museum hopes visitors recognize the similarities between those in the U.S. and the province of Hangzhou, even with the many cultural differences.
The exhibit was made possible by the Freeman Foundation and will be on display until May 29.
