The National Association of Counties, or NACo, recognized DuPage County’s ACT Initiative, which aims to provide a more easily accessible and transparent government.
Taxpayers are saving nearly 80 million dollars through the program, lead by DuPage County Board Chairman, Dan Cronin.
Cronin hopes the ACT Initiative will help set an example for counties all around the country.
“To be recognized by your peers on a National level is a matter of distinction. I am thrilled about it and couldn’t be happier. Its all about the taxpayers and all about getting the job done,” said Chairman of the Board, Dan Cronin.
NACo gives awards in 21 different categories annually to shine a spotlight on counties finding new and better ways to serve their residents.
