Dupage county corporate and community leaders recently gathered to give a helping hand.
The second annual DupPge Habitat for Humanity Executive Build took place for volunteers to help construct a house at no profit for a family in need.
Leaders from several different businesses and corporations had the chance to learn more about the mission of DuPage Habitat for Humanity, network, and put the finishing touches on a new home by constructing a privacy fence.
“It’s not a handout, it is a hand up and it’s important for the executives of our community to understand what it is that we do,” said Rich Dickson, Board President of DuPage Habitat for Humanity.
Dupage Habitat for Humanity provided all the tools and instruction on site and no prior construction experience was required.
The new home was dedicated to the Racasi family of Villa Park.
