North Central College president Hal Wilde’s impact on the college is documented in the final installment of the series “A Promising Start”, which chronicles North Central College’s 150-year history.
North central partnered with NCTV17 to produce a five-part documentary series and recently premiered the final installment “Moving Into the 21st Century.”
It covers the years 1991 to present day, a period when the college experienced tremendous growth, including the construction of major buildings like the wentz fine arts and concert center and a five-fold increase in endowment.
The documentary brings the college’s progress to life through interviews as well as historical and current photos and videos.
“Coming here tonight as an alumn, it was really great to see it,” said Bonnie Kniss, class of 2006. “I’m bursting with pride for my alma mater.”
“Honestly, I would love it if it were even longer,” said melissa erickson, class of 2010. “It just made me wanna learn more about my school and everything that happened during that time.”
