District 204 Technology

“Future ready” was the term used frequently at the latest District 204 School Board meeting.

During the board’s technology update they were informed of the new ways of learning that went into effect this school year.

All middle schools in District 204 have been issued laptops as part of a pilot program to introduce more technology into the district.

And Crone, Fischer and Gregory will be piloting a Chromebooks program similar to District 203, with about 400 students participating in this year’s trial period.

Computer classes district wide are being revamped, now called instructional technology, with lessons on coding, and web design.

The board will further discuss the impacts new technology will have on budget at a future meeting.
