District 204 Spelling Bee

Competition was i-n-t-e-n-s-e at District 204’s annual spelling bee.

21 super spellers from the district’s seven middle schools competed for the top prize, spelling out words like germane, commodious and smorgasbord.

The winning word was spelled out by Crone Middle School sixth grader Adithya Taire.

Congratulations are also in order for second place winner Ishan Nikam from Granger Middle School and third place finisher Johnathan Li from Scullen.

The top three spellers will now compete in the DuPage County Spelling Bee in Wheaton on February 24.
