The District 204 School Board met recently to discuss new ways of learning.
On the docket was an update on the online learning consortium, to kick off during the 2014-2015 school year. District teachers have been undergoing training for this multi-district initiative, which will put students in a virtual, non-traditional learning environment.
“With so many new options for students to learn online I can see a future with no snow days because students can just log in, and have class,” said Superintendent of District 204, Doctor Kathy Birkett.
The board will soon begin the search for a director of the consortium, that job posting will be up this month.
