District 203 has also announced its proposed budget for fiscal year 2014.
The tentative total is $253.6 million dollars. That includes an operating budget of more than $240 million, up 4.2% from last year to account for inflation and the addition of all-day kindergarten at seven schools.
The average taxpayer would pay 3% more than last year.
Administrators will hold a public hearing on June 17th regarding the budget and hopes to adapt it then as well. But by law, they can pass the budget as late as September 30th.
In the meantime, the proposed budget is available on the district’s website, www.naperville203.org.
