Parents learned how to keep their children safe online, thanks to a recent program at the Naperville Municipal Center.
“Your Digital Footprint Matters” is an annual event put on by Kidsmatter and Naperbridge.
A panel of online experts spoke on a variety of topics including cyberbullying on social media platforms and best practices for school districts.
The winner of the digital footprint video contest was also announced, after attendee’s texted in their votes throughout the night.
The video contest gave District 203 and 204 students the opportunity to help solve a real world problem by submitting their own creations about digital citizenship and the dangers of bullying.
“It was really cool to take what I learned in the classroom and apply it and make something for a great cause,” said Winner of the Video Contest, Austin Hansen.
