You could give back to local charities while sipping on a cold brew this summer.
Two Brothers Brewery in Warrenville has partnered with the Hundred Club of DuPage County to create their new beer Engine Number One.
“It’s a kolsh, which is a lighter body,” said Two Brother’s co-founder, Jason Ebel. “It’s a little hoppy, but a bit more malt forward product that we normally make. It’s been a great success.”
Prompted by the 75th birthday of the Warrenville Fire Protection District, Two Brothers wanted to create a beer that could be sold and all the proceeds would go to the Hundred Club.
Also in the works is collaboration with the Field Museum for a beer named Cabinet of Curiosities. An IPA, with a twist.
That will be released to the public on June 26 and will go to help the museum’s education programs.
The craft brewery says it’s their pleasure to give back.
“We’re really excited to evolve it to the point where we are making beers where the proceeds go to charity and this year we decided to do two different projects.”
Two Brothers is already collaborating with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County for a commemorative beer for their 100th anniversary celebration next year.
