A Naperville lawyer has thrown his hat into the ring for the April 2015 city council election.
Kevin Coyne announced he will run again for city council after a narrow defeat in the 2013 election by 145 votes.
His resume includes degrees from the University of Iowa and DePaul University and he also has an advanced law degree in real estate law from the John Marshal Law School.
“Economic business and job growth is an issue I feel very passionate about,” said Coyne. “I’m a business attorney, I work with business owners everyday. I care about the issues that concern them. I want to do what I can to help Naperville businesses grow and succeed.”
Coyne is a member of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, a Planning and Zoning Commissioner and a longtime Jaycee.
All eight council seats will be up for grabs next April.
Councilman Grant Wehrli is running for state legislature in the November election, Councilman Robert Fieseler said he won’t seek re-election, and Councilman Steve Chirico is running for mayor in April.
