City Councilman Kenn Miller will not be seeking re-election in 2013. After spending nearly eight years on the Council he has decided to spend more time with family and focus on his growing business.
Packets for the 2013 election cycle were available this week. Miller says he wanted to let potential candidates know he was not intending on running. He says this will allow people with new ideas to be heard by the people of Naperville.
He also stressed in a press release that the process to change the election of City Council members to districts in 2015 did not effect his decision.
Miller spent nearly eight years on the council and was first elected in 2005. He also ran for Mayor in 2011.
