Route 59’s construction will move ahead as planned. Council voted unanimously to approve an intergovernmental agreement between the city and IDOT for the costs of construction. The state is picking up most of the tab for the project. Naperville just has to pay for the addition of some sidewalks and electric system relocation.
Council also approved the extension of the Ogden Avenue Site Improvement Grant Program to include portions of Ogden Avenue from Washington Street to Rickert Drive.
The Riverwalk will be getting two new additions. A soldier’s sculpture will be donated and a small plaza will be built as part of an Eagle Scout project.
The next City Council meeting is April 16th.
