A familiar face is sharing his talents with the world.
Ted Slowik, who works as the Director of PR and Media at North Central College, released his first album and celebrated with a release party in Joliet.
Slowik has been playing music since he was a kid, has performed with bands, and is a frequent performer at open mic nights.
Last August he decided to record his album to share with those who are looking for an Americana folksy sound.
“I like to think that my strength is story telling,” said Slowik. “A lot of my songs are personal stories, like I have one about my family. Recently, I’ve been writing more deliberately.”
If you want to purchase Ted’s album, Comfort Zone, you can find it on iTunes and Amazon.
Be sure to tune into this month’s edition of Naperville News Extra to hear more of Ted’s story along with others who have self published their work.
