A North Central College student club is making a difference for a better tomorrow
The school’s Circle K Club was one of 17 schools in North America awarded a Tomorrow Fund Grant by the service committee of Circle K International.
The club will use the grant money for their Pouches of Love project, creating fabric bags which will then be filled with stickers, coloring books, and other fun things to be given to children with cancer at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn.
They hope the care packages will encourage the kids through tough times.
“We just want to let them know that someone is thinking of them and wants them to continue being strong,” said Student Circle K International President, Desury Perdes.
The Circle K Club wants the whole community to get involved and plans on reaching out to local high schools to help put together the care packages.
