At the most recent Liquor Commission meeting, the group approved a request from Hardcore Beverage to amend the liquor code, putting them on track to open Northern Illinois’ first cidery right here in Naperville.
“To have an actual cider producing and a facility serving cider only is something I think would be met with a lot of excitement and also very good for business in Naperville,” said Liquor Commissioner, Marc Blackman.
Two Fools Cider House will be located off of Quincy Avenue, where they will brew and sell their cider on site and have a tasting room.
The cidery plans to open this fall, as long as they are approved for their liquor license at the August City Council meeting.
Also of note, alcohol is not coming to Starbucks in Naperville, as the commission once again denied the coffee houses request to create a new license classification.
