A bit of Germany is coming to Naperville!

Christkindlmarket Chicago will open a second location at Naper Settlement this November – their only suburban market this year.

“We are very proud to partner with Naper Settlement, such an outstanding venue to host this particular event, we are so looking forward to it,” said Steve Chirico, Mayor of Naperville.

The announcement was made at a press conference at Naper Settlement, with the Mayor, officials from Naper Settlement and representatives from German American Events, LLC among those on hand to share the news.

Christkindlmarket Chicago has been around since 1996, and has become a holiday staple. Organizers of the Naperville event hope for the same success, inviting local businesses to join in, while keeping much of the tradition that makes the market so popular.

“We’re so excited to have the same type of atmosphere here in Naperville that we do in Chicago for the Christkindlmarket. We’re going to stay to our cultural and traditional background near and dear to our heritage with the wooden chalets and staple vendors you see downtown that are real German vendors ones you see in Germany at markets will be here as well,” said Maren Biester Priebe, General Manager of German American Events, LLC.

Christkindlmarket Naperville will kick off on November 25 and run Thursdays through Sundays up until the week before Christmas when they will be open daily.
