On the third day of the Last Fling, food lovers dug into some of their favorite meals at the Family Fun Land area located at Naper Settlement.
Participants gathered around the tables to eat full plates of spaghetti, with a twist…no utensils.
“You had to put your hands behind your back and you had to go just dip in and start eating the whole thing,” said Sam Kovar, food eating participant.
His parents even got in on the action, going face first into their plates.
But the food eating contests didn’t end there, dozens of apple pies, sponsored by Bakers Square, were served to those willing to stuff their faces and eat as fast as they could.
After participants chowed down at the food eating contests they went over to check out the animals and some even got a chance to ride them.
“The kids really just, they love it,” said Ed Henry, owner of Indian Ridge Farm.
The day was also filled with free activities such as learning to play music, face painting, and bouncing around.
Tonight fling goers will find a spot on Rotary Hill to check out live performances by Vertical Horizon and Smash Mouth.
