A former semifinalist from “The Next Food Network Star” visited the Naperville Public Library.
Judson Todd Allen met fans and not only talked about his experience on the program but also how he shed roughly 150 pounds.
The Chicago native also shared tips for a healthier lifestyle, hoping to motivate and inspire others.
“It starts with the mindset. For me it really began with coming to terms with why I was overweight and once I was able to do that and come to grips with the root of the issue, it was forward steps, moving forward,” said Allen.
Allen founded his own company Healthy Infused Cuisine, which offers catering and personal chef services with flavorful yet nutritious foods.
At the library, he offered residents free samples of his own hot sauce blend.
His visit capped off the library’s “Healthy Wealthy and Wise” program, a year-long initiative to promote financial and physical well-being.
