Renovations on Century Farms Park are now complete.
As part of the Naperville Park District’s five playground improvements this spring, the Century Farms Park re-opened recently, with some updates that had kids spinning, sliding, and swinging with excitement.
“The first thing I noticed I think on that side is targeting slightly younger kids [and] I think this side targets slightly older kids, which I think is really smart,” said neighborhood resident Derek Dalrymple. “Sometimes the bigger kids can jostle the little kids around so I think having them separate is pretty nice. Our kids are older now so they’ll probably be over here a lot but it’s a smart idea to keep them separated.”
The jungle gym meant for older kids is complete with a zip line, monkey bars, and climbing wall. On the other side of the picnic table enclosure you’ll find the area for younger kids with multiple slides, a kid-powered merry-go-round, and a seesaw.
The next park to be re-opened after renovations will be Farmington Park on Tuesday, June 26, at 5 p.m.
University Heights Park and Yorkshire Park will also re-open on the Tuesdays after Naperville Ribfest.
